How to Gain an Undeniable Advantage: Drive More Sales, Leads & Calls from Your Existing Website Traffic! (PART 1)

TRANSCRIPT: Hi. Steve Stauning with another Short and Sweet video training lesson. Today’s lesson: Gaining your undeniable advantage. Real world strategies for converting your website visitors into buyers. Now today’s lesson was originally recorded live. It was part of our Undeniable Advantage series, and the live video was great, but as you’ll see from the training today, we are working to improve, believe me, the recorded audio in future webcasts. Now because this was live, we did stop occasionally for questions though we did try to edit this down, and we were able to create 21 Short and Sweet lessons ranging from about a minute to just over 10 minutes.

So what should you expect from today’s training? This is a fact based training. This means that everything I am going to show you today is based on facts or studies we have done or reviewed. Now, unless I tell you it’s my opinion. So if I say something works or I say something doesn’t work, it’s because we have tested it and I’m giving you the results of that research.

It’s important today that you know the laws. Know the laws before implementing any of the advice I provide today. I am not an attorney. Nor would I ever know all of the laws governing car dealer marketing in your city, your state, your province, your country. Believe it or not, “Steve Stauning said…” is not a defense.

So, what are we going to cover today? We are going to break it up into 9 sections spread over 21 different parts. We are going to talk about website goals. We’re going to talk about what a conversion is. We’re going to talk a lot about today’s consumer and especially buyer behavior online. We’ll also give you some free website fixes, lots of best practices, tons of stuff about desktop and mobile, website add-ons. We’ll talk about generating e-leads, generating phone-ups. We’re even going to talk about the buttons on your website.

So without delay, let’s get started. Please enjoy today’s training.

There are two different approaches out there when you want to make changes to your websites, and the first approach is the one that most dealers use, and that is you make a bunch of changes because your site is stale, right, or because you saw something cool on a competitor’s site, or worse your owner came back from a twenty group right.

That’s the first way that a lot of people make changes to their website, they just make it they throw a bunch of crap against the wall. They try to see what sticks. The second way, the second approach to make changes to your website is you determine your website’s goals, you determine your customer’s goals. You make sure that those two align.
You look at your website’s strengths; you look at your website’s weaknesses and at reaching those goals. And then you make what are called measured improvements.
