Steve’s Memes: Your Online Reputation
Today’s Lesson: Just stop being a rat bastard…
Why are you spending thousands to “fix” your online reputation when you’re unwilling to change for free offline?
TODAY’S LESSON:
You cannot be a Saint online if you’re a rat bastard offline. Consumers aren’t that dumb.

Steve I would argue that the majority of dealers strive for customer satisfaction and that you don’t have to be a rat bastard offline for your online reputation to look bad. Often it’s a lack of understanding at the leadership or managerial level about the of the significance each person at the store and how with not the right buy-in and protocol even dealers do strive for excellence struggle for it to reflect online.
I would also suggest that customer satisfaction is a lowly goal. Dealers should be striving for customer loyalty, and advocacy.

Great Points, Ryan; though I think you missed mine.
The message in the Meme is intended for those businesses (not just car dealers) who spend thousands of dollars each month to create a great (yet fake) ONLINE persona, while neglecting to fix those things they do in real life that cause them to be hated by consumers. In other words: Be genuinely great and you’ll have a great online reputation.
